I purchased a 3m by 3m decking kit & artificial grass, it arrived later than the 14 day delivery advertised. The artificial grass has a massive hole in it and was refused at the time and I was told another would be sent out.I paid for a chippie to put together my decking as I want a good finished but he refused to do so, the decking joists are cracked and brittle and not fit for purpose. I have sent pics but the customer service refuses this and says they are ok and will do.I have also asked repeatedly for a new delivery date as my garden is incomplete and can't be used waiting to lay the artificial grass onto the prepared base.I decided to do up the garden as 4 kids stuck indoors during lockdown and wanted them to be able to enjoy an outside space but the absolute lack of professionalism from this company has destroyed any chance of that for this summer!!AVOID AT ALL COSTS AND USE YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE IT WILL BE VALUED AND APPRECIATED, DON'T WASTE A PENNY WITH THESE COWBOYS

Arrived on time. Everything there. Out of 29 deck boards, 1 had saw cut marks on it and 1 had a patch of damage to the grooves. Because of this I had to make sure they were positioned where the furniture would go to hide it. If I was picking the boards myself I’d have rejected them. The boards were all slightly out on length too which means I’ve had to cut them all to length again myself. Quality control seems to be an issue which is disappointing when buying a kit to make it easier.

Really poor edecks aftersales experience (twice) is enough for this DIY enthusiast

As a customer of eDecks over the last 6 years or more, I have been there as a loyal customer as they have grown. I have recommended them to many people to help that growth.

Yet on the two occasions I have had to deal with after sales they have been appalling.

The first occasion I have to quote Consumer Rights Act of 2015 to get action on damaged items. Their T&C's don't seem to follow that act.

But I gave them a chance and continued to use them and didn't need to use aftersales until this week.

What a nightmare!

I got a notification that a delivery will arrive on the 16th of the month, 7 days after my order was placed. Then I got notified that my order will be delivered on the 17th of the month. Yet no order received.

On the 17th I called to ascertain where m y order was and I was told it would definitely be with me that day. At 1pm on the17th I called again to check and was again told it would definitely be with me again. At 4.50pm, they close at 5pm, I rang to asked if it would be delivered that day (17th) and I was reassured that deliveries can happen up to 9pm.

I'm sure you know where this is going!

Today (18th) I received an email to notify me, again, that the driver exceeded his Taco limits and it would be delivered again. That's two days in a row.

The problem here isn't the delay, the logistical foul up or anything about delivery delays. It's about communication.

They would've been aware that their driver was delayed twice or that their lorry had too many orders to realistically expect delivery on time. Yet the only notifications are after the morning after the delivery day has passed.

Communicating with the customer is the problem.

When I called today to ask where was my delivery I was assured it would be with me today (18th). How can I trust their word when they have let me down two days in a row?

It was interesting that yesterday I was watching a news report (BBC) about customer service and a recent survey stated that consumers are willing (even now) to pay up to 9% more to experience good customer service. I will now use that percentage tolerance when searching for the best bargain.

I had to make this review as I still (as at 10.51am on the 18th) haven't received my delivery or even had an update. You would think that after 10 days they would be wanting to ensure they kept a long term customer informed.

Ordered a 3mx3m reject decking kit

Ordered a 3mx3m reject decking kit - very good price and only a few deck boards were slightly bent but easily screwed in to the joists no problem. Looks very good in the garden and very pleased. Slightly short on screws but maybe we used more than recommended. Would buy from again. Delivery on specific date very friendly and placed the delivery where I wanted it.

Found eDecks online

Found eDecks online, wish every online experience was as good !! From the ordering to the finished project was a pleasure. The delivery was on time and the driver called 1hour before as stated. The timber was well packed/stacked on the van, with the driver going above and beyond to help unload. The shaped sleepers were in perfect condition, I have now finished the project and friends say my raised beds look amazing. Will be using them without any question in the future. Well done .....

Ordered wooden decking and recieved…

Ordered wooden decking and recieved confirmation that all would be delivered 4 days later. Delivery was on time and left neatly on driveway. Product and service was excellent, from ordering to delivery. Thank you edecks.

Best Low Cost Fencing Supplies

We found eDecks when looking for low cost options to repair our fencing. The prices were unbeatable when we searched online. The budget fence panels are the best quality we have ever come across! We were also able to buy individual panel slats and top edging to repair some of our existing panels rather than having to spend the money on a full new panel. Easy to order and pay for, with lots of payment options. Really pleased we could get everything we needed in one place. We didn't place a huge order due to our budget, but still got a great service and it was also delivered a few days early! Although this wasn't planned, it was a massive help for us. Delivery guy was courteous and unloaded our order with care and left it just where we asked. Our new fence looks awesome so far, and can't wait to get the rest finished! We will without a doubt be using eDecks for our supplies from now on!

Better than expected

I don't normally leave reviews but I read a number of negative reviews for edecks which caused me to hesitate to buy. I hope my review will help you to make a decision. Firstly service... Can't fault them at all. I ordered on 28th July and within a few hours got an email to say the decks would be delivered on the 29th!! I just went for the standard free delivery so was expecting to wait a week or two. Obviously not everyone will be as lucky to get them so quick and I guess the actual date depends on their delivery schedule. The delivery bloke phoned an hour and a half before arrival, and he arrived with the decks pretty much at the exact time he said. He offered to help load them into my garage and was very professional. So in terms of service, I'm very happy. I haven't needed to call to speak in person but that's mainly because the service (and product) is so good.The product and quality... In short, no issues here either. I ordered the 120mm chunky decks. I also ordered a few more than I needed as I was conscious that there were some negative reviews about quality, but it still worked out cheaper than going elsewhere. It's hard to check every board when they are delivered but I was happy with what I could check. I have started laying the decks and I'm still happy. There are a few very minor imperfections with the odd board which doesn't bother me as some will be cut anyway and I have a few more than needed. I have found a very slight warp (maybe 1mm in a 3m length) but when laying them this is easily rectified when screwed down. You will always get some warping with timber in my experience and I would say that even if I had seen the decks first (for example buying in B&Q or Wickes) and checked the quality of each board first, I wouldn't have been able to select boards of better quality. There are some knots obviously but definitely not too many. If you go for something other than the chunky deck, the quality may differ of course.Prior to ordering from edecks I did some scoping in the main DIY stores, and basically there was hardly any stock at all. Those that were in stock were definitely not as good as these from edecks. Service = better than expected.Quality = better than expected. I needn't have ordered the extra. The quality will not need me discard any decks at all.. maybe I'll use these to build a couple of planters.

Decking easily ordered online

Decking ordered online. Correct quantity arrived on time and delivered to exact location required at premises. Very helpful and courteous delivery person. Prior contact with sales office to check items was dealt with swiftly and courteously.
